MOTS-c is not a GLP-1 and holds no approval anywhere, so no listing is describing a medicine [3]. What varies is how much of the claim on the page can actually be checked.

What is on the market, and what is not
Two things do not exist and never appear legitimately. There is no branded MOTS-c medicine, because no regulator has approved one. There is no clinically dosed MOTS-c product, because no clinical dose has been established in people. The only human study in this space tested CB4211, a synthetic analogue of MOTS-c, in a Phase 1a/1b safety trial that finished before its developer wound down [2].
What does exist is a research supply chain. Peptide is synthesized, tested, filled into vials and sold labeled for laboratory research and not for human consumption. That is the whole market. If you are used to the world of approved GLP-1 medications, where a label lists strengths, indications and adverse events, this is the opposite of that: a product page written by whoever is selling it.
MOTS-c for sale: the formats you will see
Lyophilized 10 mg vials. This is the standard and the only format worth defaulting to. Dry powder in a sealed vial, stable when kept cold, with a lot number that should tie to a certificate of analysis. Ten milligrams has settled as the usual quantity across the market, which conveniently means per-milligram comparison is easy: divide the price by ten.
Blends and mitochondrial stacks. MOTS-c combined in one vial with other compounds, marketed as a mitochondrial or longevity stack. The problem is not the idea, it is the arithmetic. A blend hides how much of each component you are getting, makes a certificate far harder to interpret, and means any problem with one ingredient contaminates the whole vial. If you cannot state the milligrams of MOTS-c in a blend from the listing alone, the listing has failed.
Pre-mixed solutions. Peptide already reconstituted in liquid, sold ready to use. This is the format that should stop you. Peptides in solution are less stable than lyophilized powder, degradation is invisible, and a pre-mixed vial shipped without cold chain has been sitting at ambient temperature for days. A pre-mix also does a second thing worth noticing: it is a format that only makes sense if the seller expects you to inject it, which is an implicit human-use claim on a product labeled research only.
Capsules, nasal sprays and troches. These appear occasionally and should be treated as a different product entirely. There is no bioavailability data supporting any of them for MOTS-c, and a seller offering an oral format for a peptide is making a pharmacology claim no published work supports.
Searches for MOTS-c peptide for sale and MOTS-c peptides for sale return this same set of formats. The plural changes nothing about what is in the box.
Words on listings that carry no definition
Pharma grade is the big one. It is not a regulatory category and no authority issues it. In practice it means the seller chose to type it. Compare that with what the phrase implies to a reader who is used to a pharmacy: manufacturing under inspection, a facility registration, batch release testing to a monograph. None of that is happening here, and the phrase is doing work it has not earned.
Purity percentages are the second. A number like 99% is meaningless without the method that produced it and the batch it refers to. Purity by which analysis, run by whom, on which lot, and reported where. Answer those four and the percentage becomes information. Leave them out and it is a font choice.
Testimonials and before-and-after images are the third, and they are the one with legal weight. Endorsements in advertising carry disclosure obligations, and unsubstantiated health claims attached to an unapproved compound are exactly what the FTC's endorsement guidance is aimed at [4]. A research supplier that publishes customer results for a research chemical has told you it is not really selling for research.
There is also a category of claim nobody makes because nobody can. A certificate of analysis speaks to identity and purity of a sample. It does not speak to sterility of the finished vial, endotoxin levels, or what happened to the product between the laboratory bench and the courier. No listing in this market covers those, and a seller implying otherwise is overstating what any document in their possession can show.

Questions about what is on sale
- Is there a difference between MOTS-c peptide for sale and MOTS-c for sale?
- No. Both phrases return the same research listings for the same compound. The word peptide signals the research market rather than a different or purer product.
- Why are pre-mixed vials cheaper on some sites?
- Because water is cheaper than peptide and because a pre-mix hides how much active material is present. Stability is also worse in solution, and you cannot see degradation by looking at it.
- Are blends ever worth buying?
